invisible elements:
in london, heaths and commons are subject to different laws and rules than royal parks. hampstead heath has pools, woods, open air concerts, parliament hill with its fantastic views of the city, and even a vale of health. yet it also harboured some of the most dangerous highwaymen in history. this dual nature of hampstead heath is expressed in the design of the house, whereby the civilization of the city street on the front is a mask eroding, leading to a swimming pool that extends out into the idyllic pastoral landscape to the rear of the house.
